The teenage years present special dental and orthodontic challenges with which we are quite familiar. We are ready to help you and your teen navigate these years with the types of care described below. Of course, we are always ready to provide cleanings, examinations, fillings and other routine dental care. 

• Orthodontic treatment: While interceptive orthodontic care (also known as “phase one orthodontic treatment”) can be offered to preteen children, many teens may need to complete their orthodontic treatment or begin it. Guiding teeth into their proper positions prevents excess stress on the teeth and makes it easier to keep the teeth clean, in addition to making the smile more attractive.

• Night guards: If a teen grinds their teeth at night, a night guard can prevent tooth damage and sore jaw muscles. 

• Mouth guards: Teens involved in athletic activities should be equipped with a mouth guard to prevent damage to their teeth and mouth. 

• Cosmetic dentistry: A smile a teen considers unattractive can make life difficult. They may refuse to smile which dampens their enjoyment of social activities. We can plan the exact cosmetic improvements to boost their confidence and allow them to bloom.
